Individual Savings Rates at All-Time Low

June 29, 2012

Recent survey results from BankRate.com reveal that 28 percent of Americans have absolutely no emergency savings. This is an alarming statistic, especially in this day and age of increased lay-offs and reduced jobs. Bank Rate also reports that about 49 percent of Americans don’t even have enough money saved to cover three months of expenses – The economy is very stagnant right now, so it’s difficult for people to make significant gains on savings when everyday household expenses are creeping higher but incomes are not. “Prolonged unemployment has also depleted the savings of many people who at one time had a more appropriate cushion. The biggest barrier to saving is not being in the habit of saving,” says Greg McBride, senior financial analyst for Bankrate.com.  “By establishing that habit, even if an unplanned expense comes up and wipes out what you’ve accumulated, you’re only one paycheck away from restarting the saving process.”

Everyone knows they need to have a savings plan, but the discipline of saving regularly can be challenging.  If you are looking for a new way to save without the time and effort of managing your account the convenient Centier Round Up Savings Program is the answer. I vam interested in re-mortgageing my home that my loan is with your bank. I am presently at 6&1/4 percent and the carrot of a much lower bank payment has been toted in front of me many times. Do you have lower rates that would make it affordable even more so?? then what I have right now
thanks and I await your response
