Purdue University Calumet’s College of Business recently hosted its Alumni Awards Dinner, presented at the White Lodging School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The College of Business honored four individuals for their accomplishments and commitment to Purdue University Calumet’s College of Business. The Young Alumni Award was awarded to Shantel Sams; Entrepreneurial Success Award was presented to Keith Blue; Community Engagement Award winner was Janet Seabrook; and Friend of the College Award was presented to Centier Bank’s Darrell Jaggers.
Jaggers is Senior Partner overseeing the lending division at Centier Bank. As part of the College of Business Advisory Board, Jaggers provides his professional experience and assistance to programs that help the school, and students, with requirements of the business community to ensure that students develop the skills, talents, and personal attitude that will make them successful in the business world.
Jaggers has served as an advisory board member for the past five years. A career banker, he is a former resident of Fort Wayne, where he supported outreach and organizations like the United Way, Fort Wayne Historical Society, Friends of the Parks Fort Wayne, and Fort Wayne Committee to Review Local Government.
Centier is now the largest privately-owned independent bank in Indiana and remains committed to being owned and operated by the Schrage family in the future. Centier has 46 branch locations throughout Northern Indiana, including business banking centers in Lafayette and Fort Wayne, and a loan production office serving Carmel/Indianapolis.
